Bishnu Adhikari, who made his debut last year with Ek, which also starred Aparna Sharma and Himanshi of Bigg Boss fame will soon be seen in a spy-thriller that he penned himself.
The Medak boy who was born and brought up in Hyderabad penned the script in December and was even ready to begin shoot in April before the pandemic struck.
“I was tired of getting mediocre scripts. I even pitched the subject to a team and we were all set to begin shoot but the pandemic put a wrench in our plans,” he tells, adding, “Director of my debut film Ek, Sampath Rudrarapu, will be directing this one too.
But we’ve opted not to commence shoot yet despite the governments allowing them due to the rising corona cases.” His upcoming film will be shot in India and Nepal, with the actor even looking to cast a top Nepali actress for the role. “It’s just so risky to shoot now, it doesn’t feel worth it. My parents are from Nepal and I wanted to explore the country my story,” he adds.
Ek, which hit screens in June last year dealt with the themes of mafia and terrorism. The same film saw him make his debut as a singer too with the number Raa Cheliya.
“A while after the film’s release, I and Aparna Sharma of Neeve fame even shot a contemporary dance video for the number,” he states. What’s more, a Hindi version of the number will release soon.
“Right before lockdown, I teamed up with lyricist Manoj Yadav and music composer Anand to record a Hindi version of the number. We even went to Chennai to record it. I can’t wait for music buffs to experience the Hindi version too,” he says, rounding off.
