Roshan Bikram Thakuri’s directorial short movie ‘Silver Bangles’ has been nominated for the Queens World Film Festival 2018, which will be held on March 15-25 at New York, US.
In the short Narrative section, the movie nominated for Best movie, actress and best screenplay. The 15th minute long film depicts the true incident which was occurred in Nepal during Maoist insurgency.
Movie is about social discrimination in regard to existing caste and gender and “unusual relation” between a Dalit boy and a Brahamin girl, their struggle to succeed for a new lease of life and post union effort for a baby in the time when the entire community was under the threat of terror.
‘Color’ famed director has been back with ‘Silver Bangles’ which was premiered in Ekadeshma Film Festival in Kathmandu. Movie stars Reecha Sharma and Arpan Thapa, who have been doing team up for feature length movie too.
The movie is all set to screening at festival on March 25, Sunday, according festival’s official portal.
