The European Union to Nepal is organising the ‘European Film Festival 2019’ at Kathmandu and Pokhara from August 24. The festival will showcased nine films from eight nation.
The festival will be held at Qs Cinema, Rising Mall in Kathmandu from August 24-26 and Midtown Galleria in New Road, Pokhara from August 31 to September 2. This is the first time the festival is being held in Pokhara.
“We have received a good response from Nepali moviegoers during our previous editions and we hope to receive the same level of response this year too,” said the EU’s Ambassador to Nepal Veronica Cody.
She further added such festivals will bring European diversity to Nepal through which Nepalis can learn more about European countries and culture. Three screenings will take place every day and the entry is free.
