Nepal’s First Indigenous Movie Award To Organize In Thailand


Nation’s first ‘Indigenous Film and Music Award’ is scheduled to be held in Thailand. Hukum Multimedia is set to organize the award.

Organizing the press meet on Monday, DB Bomjon, chairperson of Hukum Multimedia informed that the award will be organized on August 24 in Thailand.

Bomjan further informed that film and music video which were made between 2073 BS and 2075 BS can apply for the nomination and compete for the awards in different categories.

“Out of 63 films, best five films will be nominated for the award. We will categorize 16 and 11 nominations for film and music, respectively,” he added.

Addressing to press meet, Rajkumar Rai, former chairperson of Nepal Film Development Board said that the award can be a mile stone for the indigenous film to be in international market.

Meanwhile, Film Technology Association has announced the date of NEFTA Award at the event. Chairperson Puskar Lama said that award is scheduled to be held in between the date of Dashain and Tihar.
