Nepal Brings One-Door Policy To Shoot Foreign Movies, President Bhandari Announced at Parliament


The government has announced to launch ‘Nepal Program’ to boost the movie tourism and promotions it as best shooting destination in the world. Reading government’s annual policy and program at the parliament house on Friday, president Bidya Devi Bhandari informed it.

According to policy, in order to shoot the movie in Nepal, foreign makers have to take permission through government’s one-door policy. This will ease the situation because, now makers are facing lot of hurdles from various sector of the government.

‘The government will take further step to attract more movie shooting in Nepal’ said president Bhandari at parliament. ‘This is the welcome move’ International relation head of the Film Development Board, Mr. Chiranjivi Guragain said to MM, ‘Now, policy being comfortable.’

After this announcement, the government is planning to form a committee which will have the authority to give the shooting permission to foreign movies.
