Nepal Bags Two Honor At SAARC Film Festival, Abinash’s ‘Tattini’ And Bulbul’s Swastima clinches The Title


Nepal has bagged two awards from SAARC Film Festival 2019, which was concluded in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

According to Nepal Film Development Board, actor Swastima Khadka bagged best performance honor from the movie ‘Bulbul’, while Abinash B. Shah’s short film ‘Tattini’ won special recognition award.

Mrs Khadka won special jury award for performance. “For fully committing and brilliantly bringing out the pain and agony, and still imbibing indefatigable courage, balancing mental, emotional and physical turmoil authentically, in a performance both fully transformed and transformative” jury read out the certificate of Khadka.

Jury also mentioned about the ‘Tattini’ that for its picturesque and encompassing view of societal tradition an d norm, in a story of a woman’s continued fight for marital ownership, acceptance and respect.’

Another feature movies ‘Prasad’ and Hari’ also sent to the festival. while, short film Avashesh (The REMAINS) also showcased in competition section. Bulbul actor Khadka and Prasad director Dinesh Raut were attended the festival.
