Actor Rajesh Hamal has donated Rs 5 lakh plus cash relief to 113 daily wage workers of the Nepali movie industry. In an organized program on Saturday at Kathmandu, ‘Megastar’ praised the role of technician.
The actor pledged the support Rs 5 lakhs (Rs 5 thousand each person) to the technicians who have been badly hit by the lockdown to contain the coronavirus spread in the country, according to Nepal Film Technician Association (NEFTA).
‘The entire industry is being hardly hit by this pandemic’ Mr Hamal said, ‘Specially daily wage workers of Nepali movie industry are being suffered.’ He handed the cash which was collected by Non-residence Nepali in US and various countries of Europe and Asia.
According to the NEFTA, more than 30 thousand daily wage workers of Nepali movie industry have lost their job after lockdown. Talking with MM, chair of NEFTA Mr Puskar Lama said that there is uncertainty regarding the future of technician due to this pandemic.
