Happy Birthday, Rajesh Hamal: Superstar, who has turned 55 on Sunday, he wants to graceful exit from the Nepali movie industry. ‘Yug Dekhi Yug Samma’ debut boy done more than 2 hundred movies in his acting career.
One time superstar of Nepali tinsel-town, now busy on social works and reality TV series. Mr Hamal has delivered successful movies like Yug Dekhi Yug Samma (1991), Kasam (1992), Deuta (1993), Ek Number Ko Pakhe (1999), Hami Tin Bhai (2004), Ajambari Naataa (2005) and Mukhauta (2014) and many others. He also hosts the Nepalese version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? titled Ko Bancha Crorepati (2019).
Before entering the movie industry Hamal modeled for a magazine in India named Fashion Net whilst studying at University. He appeared in a fashion show organised by the Indian Embassy Women Association in the late 1980s.
In work front, Mr Hamal is all set to planning to direct and produce the movie soon. However, it has not been confirmed yet. Hamal is considered as one of the top actors in the Nepalese movie industry and enjoys a massive fan following in the country.
Talking about the love he has received from his fans over the years, Hamal said, “I feel happy for that reason only. Stardom matters in one way that I have been working from so long but the kind of love and respect people gave me that make me really happy. I am happy that people believe in me and there is nothing more important than trust.”
He also said that he is considering graceful exit from Nepali movie industry. But, he didn’t elaborate that what is ‘Graceful Exit ?’
