All Eyes On Swastima Khadka’s BULBUL, Economics To Depend On Word Of Mouth

February has tepid note for good movies. While some movies have failed to live up to the expectations, surprisingly there are no other notable releases in the month for the first two weeks. However, ‘Bulbul’ is releasing on Friday and advance booking is open.

All hopes for a Bulbul in mid-February. The movie has been creating good buzz ever since its first teaser as launched, and has been on a positive path ever since then. Swastima Khadka starrer has been promoted quite well too and has generated good all around vibe so far.

The movie is just some days away from release and it has been pitched well enough to generate some good footfalls on its release. While further trends around the opening would be clearer on 15th February.

Despite expectation and enthusiasm, there are remaining some challenges for the Bulbul because two big and new foreign releases are set to land in theaters. Berlin Festival premiere ‘Gully Boy’ and James Cameron’s ‘Alita : Battle Angel’ are among them. The choice is of audience !

Director and team have come up with unique strategy of promotions, that’s why there is a of hope indeed. According to trailer and teaser, we can expect experiment of narration and realism of story telling by director Binod Paudel who earlier penned ‘Sanghuro’.

Major multiplex chain QFX Cinemas has opened its advance booking on Tuesday. As per early report, movie has got 10 shows in QFX’s Kathmandu chain. The business of Bulbul will totally depend on strong word of mouth. We can’t be surprised, content is king and audience are king maker !!!
