The Nepalese speaking people reside in India often admire Nepali movie. Indian Diaspora is the biggest market for domestic movie, however, Nepal based movie makers have been facing the problems relevant to censorship since its inception. Now, here is the very good news for them!
To make commercial release in Indian territories, Nepali makers can submit their application through online. During the bilateral meeting between Nepal Producer Association and Indian Censor Board, decision got inked by the authorities.
In an organized press meet on Wednesday at capital, Association president Mr. Aakash Adhikari announced some achievements during 6 months of his tenure including that Indian pact.
Mr. Adhikari informed media that some of the works are fulfilled while some are on the process of implementation. The board members of Federation of Nepal Chamber of commerce (FNCCI) were honored for providing the space for Nepali movie.
Mrs. Bhawani Rana, the president of FNCCI said that her organization would be glad to support and promote the Nepali movie industry that will consequently support GDP of the country.
Umesh Lal Shrestha, Gyanendra Lal Shrestha, Mahendra Kumar Paudel, Sandip Acharya, the members of FNNCI attended the event and were dignified for their work. The six months of period appear to be the beginning of the transparency for the association.
Mr. Adhikari, while talking to media informed that the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, seemed to be positive towards his approach of promoting the Nepali cinema all over the world on behalf of the concerned ministry.
Additionally, he has approached the insurance policy as a package of ‘Project Bima’. The Film development board in the country did not have such policies till date. The members of association told they will do more for the promotion.
